Hawai'i to host Asia-Pacific security summit

Government leaders, senior business executives and security, technology and anti-terrorism experts will convene in Hawai'i next week for the 2006 Asia-Pacific Homeland Security Summit and Exposition.The summit will be held Tuesday through Thursday at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel on the Big Island.
The summit will feature presentations and panels and a variety of expert speakers on all aspects of terrorism, catastrophes and catastrophe planning, the Middle East conflict's impact on the Asia-Pacific region, the 'A Kele Hawai'i Improvised Nuclear Device Exercise and more.
A Bird Flu Pandemic Community Response Exercise will take place on Tuesday.
