Democratic candidate for governor Randall Iwase continues to trail far behind Republican Gov. Linda Lingle in campaign fundraising, according to reports filed today with the state Campaign Spending Commission.

Iwase raised $86,000 in the month after the Sept. 23 primary election, and had $23,000 left as of Monday, his campaign reported. He has raised a total of $328,000 since entering the race in January.

Lingle raised $327,000 since the primary and had $891,000 left on Monday, according to her campaign's report. She has raised $6.5 million in donations and other income over the past four years.

Today's reports provide the first detailed peek into the candidates' fundraising since the primary. The two will face off in the Nov. 7 general election.
