It's challenging for petite women (5-feet-4 and under) to make the bold shapes of fall work in their favor.

To the rescue: petite KHNL TV meteorologist Sharie Shima and special-events director at Macy's Lavina Wong. They've put together a fall fashion show just for petites. Designers include Eileen Fisher, AK Anne Klein, Kaua'iana and many more.

Those attending the show are encouraged to make a suggested donation of $10 to the American Heart Association. Attendees are also encouraged to wear red to help raise awareness of heart disease.

The show will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Macy's, Ala Moana, on the third level. Reservations and information: 945-6427.

ONLY AT TORI RICHARD

The world's most celebrated designer of Christmas ornaments, Christopher Radko, will appear in his first-ever Hawai'i signing event from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Tori Richard in Ala Moana Center. He'll autograph a limited edition, one-of-a-kind glass ornament he created in celebration of Tori Richard's golden anniversary.

The exclusive Radko "Tori Richard Golden Anniversary Christmas" ornament was inspired by Tori Richard's signature "Anniversary Palm" shirt design. Retailing for $42, the sparkling little red aloha shirt is adorned with a hand-painted palm tree and "Tori Richard Honolulu Since 1956" in hand-lettered glitter.

Radko's exclusive 2006 signing ornament, a snowman design entitled "From Frosty Friends," will be available only during this event. Tori Richard will also carry a variety of other Radko ornaments and holiday items throughout the season.

Radko's mouth-blown, hand painted glass pieces are in the collections of Elton John and Oprah Winfrey. Radko ornaments and holiday items can be found throughout the Christmas season at Tori Richard retail stores in Ala Moana Center, Hyatt Regency Waikiki, Hilton Hawaiian Village and The Shops at Wailea.

A HOW-TO FOR BRIDES

When it comes to weddings, it's all in the details, and Morgan Childs is a devotee of details. Although she was born and raised in Honolulu, Childs spent seven years designing and coordinating high-end events in New York City. Many of her events were for high-profile companies such as Vera Wang, InStyle magazine and Kate Spade.

Now she wants to help Honolulu brides, so she's offering a class called "How to Plan the Wedding of Your Dreams." The class, which costs $150, includes a wedding planner and refreshments. It will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 4, at 448 Namahana St. in Waikiki. Call Childs at 551-2448 to register.

'AIRBORNE DREAMS'

The Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai'i will feature a historical exhibit of photos and uniforms worn by the first Japanese-American women to serve as flight attendants on Pan American World Airways flights. On display will be memorabilia from 1955 to 1972, as well as a video featuring interviews.

The grand opening is 6 p.m. Thursday in the center's Community Gallery, and the show continues through Dec. 15. Free. Information: 945-7633, or e-mail info@jcch.com.

PET LOVERS JEWELRY

Doggie lovers can start their Christmas shopping early at Hawaii Doggie Bakery & Gift Shop's Pet Lovers Jewelry Trunk Show. The design team of Anne & Jane will bring their entire sterling-silver pet collection, including bracelets, pins, watches, earrings and pendants.

The trunk show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday at the Ward Warehouse shop.
