Man charged in theft

A 39-year-old man was charged today with stealing a six-pack of beer early Saturday morning from a Kane'ohe-area convenience store. Jacob Aukai is charged with fourth-degree theft, a petty misdemeanor, and is being held in lieu of $1,000 bail.The incident occurred at 2:45 a.m. and was initially classified as a second-degree robbery.
