Transportation worker injured in roadway accident

A 52-year-old worker with the state Department of Transportation was criticially injured shortly after noon today while picking up trash on the side of the H-1 Freeway, police said.At 12:15 p.m. a 25-year-old man driving a motorcycle clipped the DOT worker, who was removing debris from the roadway.
The 25-year-old was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in serious condition and the 52-year-old was taken to Queen's in critical condition.
