H-1 traffic slow coming in to Honolulu

Advertiser Staff

Traffic on O`ahu is moving about as best as can be expected for a Monday morning, but not without the usual snags and snarls.

There are no major accidents or incidents to report at this time, but the town-bound lanes of the H-1 Freeway in Waipahu are backed up to the Waikele Shopping Center.

It's slow going through the H-1/H-2 merge and along the Waipahu-Pearl City corridor, although things ease up considerably once past the Kaonohi Street overpass.

It's bumper-to-bumper through the Middle Street merge at this time and the traffic remains heavy through Kalihi and Liliha but speeds up nicely once past the downtown exits.

The drive in from Hawaii Kai is going well this morning with no real slow-downs until the university area.

There are no major problems at this time driving in from the windward side.
