Large donation to Red Cross, hospital to be announced

A news conference has been scheduled for 11 a.m. this morning in the governor's office at the State Capitol to provide details of a large donation to the American Red Cross, Kona Community Hospital and the North Kohala Community Resource Center to help Big Island residents affected by the Oct. 15 earthquakes.The establishment of an earthquake recovery fund to assist big Island residents with rebuilding and repair efforts will also be announced.
