Light traffic greeting morning commuters

Advertiser Staff

Morning rush-hour traffic seems to be significantly lighter this morning compared with yesterday, probably because a lot of folks are stretching a three-day weekend into something longer.

Town-bound traffic on the H-1 Freeway is largely cleared out already through the Pearl City corridor, although stalled car in the right shoulder lane near the Kaonohi Street overpass is causing a minor backup in the immediate area.

Once past the stall, traffic moves well but slows at the Middle Street merge, which is bumper-to-bumper at this time.

The backup heading in from East O'ahu begins at the Koko Head Avenue overpass.

There are no significant problems at this hour heading in from Windward O'ahu.
