Chang throws 3 interceptions in Eagles' loss

Advertiser Staff

Former University of Hawaii quarterback Tim Chang, challenging for a spot on the Philadelphia Eagles roster, threw three interceptions in the team's final exhibition game Friday against the New York Jets.

Chang, the NCAA career yardage passing record holder, completed 9 of 17 passes for 88 yards as the Jets defeated the Eagles, 20-17, at East Rutherford, N.J.

Donovan McNabb, the Eagles starter and team leader, did not play.

Jeff Garcia, who started for the Eagles Friday, completed 1 of 6 for four yards.

A.J. Feeley, a former Eagle acquired just a few days ago, completed 9 of 12 for 131 yards.

Feeley led the Eagles on three straight scoring drives at a rain-soaked Giants Stadium.

Feeley, who led the Eagles to a 4-1 record in the last five games of the 2002 season, was 9-of-12 for 131 yards.

"It's the West Coast offense, so I've been in it for a couple of years," Feeley said on CBS Sportsline. "There were only a couple of things that were unfamiliar. For the most part, it was just like I was going back to work here in Philly."

Feeley spent the last three years with Miami and was in camp this summer with San Diego, but the Chargers cut him Monday. The Eagles didn't wait long to re-sign the veteran.

Feeley engineered a 12-play, 96-yard scoring drive on one Eagles' possession.

He also led the Eagles to a field goal as time expired to end the half, giving the Eagles a 17-0 lead.

CBS Sportsline and The Associated Press contributed to this report.
