Discussion class on psychology

"The Boundaries Course," a six-session video and discussion class based on the work of psychologists Henry Cloud and John Townsend, begins Sept. 16 at Central Union Church.

The class, led by the Rev. Ron Ching, will be held 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays at the Adult Day Care Center, ground floor of Family Life Building at Central Union Church.

The class is free, but a required purchase of a Participants Guide is $9, payable at the first meeting.

PRAYER VIGIL, SEMINAR SLATED

Unity Church of Hawaii plans several events this month, including:

  • A prayer vigil from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 14 at its chapel, 3608 Diamond Head Circle, as part of the World Day of Prayer. Personal prayer forms will be available during the free event, a 12-hour vigil featuring meditation, continuous affirmations, reading of prayer lists and music by Devotion, a duo based in Sedona, Ariz.   • The "8-Steps to Spiritual & Material Riches" seminar, by the Rev. Dr. Terry Cole-Whittaker, 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 24.
