Honolulu Theatre for Youth has a reward for 5 millionth patron

Wayne Harada
Advertiser Staff Writer

The Honolulu Theatre for Youth — now producing "Snow White" at Tenney Theatre — will welcome its five millionth patron at its 1:30 p.m. performance Saturday. HTY officials will identify the theater-goer before the show begins, showering him or her with a prize package that will include a lifetime pass to any HTY show.

The historic occasion — coming in the theater group's 52nd season — will also draw Gov. Linda Lingle to the production, along with HTY board members and other longtime supporters.

Stephanie Kuroda plays Snow White and Hermen "Junior" Tesero portrays all seven dwarfs in the current retelling of the fairytale. Performances are given at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. each Saturday through Sept. 23. Tickets are $16; $8 for youth and seniors. Information: 839-9885 or htyweb.org.
