Trade winds remain in forecast

A high pressure system northeast of the state is expected to keep the trade winds pumping through the end of the week, according to the National Weather Service.

The trades will bring a few showers with them, mostly in the windward and mauka areas.

Following is a more detailed look at the next few days:

Today, partly cloudy. Scattered showers in the morning, then isolated showers in the afternoon. Highs 81 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 77. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Thursday, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Thursday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 77. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
