Surf hitting 5 to 7 feet on south shores

Advertiser Staff

The south shore is the place to be today, with surf building to 5 to 7 feet, according to the National Weather Service.

Elsewhere, surf is expected to be 1 to 3 feet today along north- and east-facing shores and 2 to 4 feet along west-facing shores.

A new south swell due in tomorrow should keep surf on the south shore up through Friday, but just below the 8-foot level at which the high surf advisories are issued.
