Go! planes fly less than two-thirds full in August

Advertiser Staff

Interisland carrier go! said its airplanes were less than two-thirds full in August, the lowest load factor since the airline was launched in June.

The airline said its load factor was 64.5 percent last month, down from 73.9 percent full in July and 82.5 percent full in June.

The airline, which added two new planes and doubled the number of its flights in July, attributed the lower load factors to the seasonal slowdown in interisland travel in August.

The airline, a unit of Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group, shook up the interisland airline market by introducing one-way fares as low as $29
