HTY celebrates 5 millionth patron

By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Staff Writer

The Honolulu Theatre for Youth — now producing "Snow White" at Tenney Theatre — will welcome its 5 millionth patron at its 1:30 p.m. performance tomorrow. HTY officials will identify the theater-goer before the show begins, showering him or her with a prize package that will include a lifetime pass to HTY shows.

The historic occasion — coming in the theater group's 52nd season — will also draw Gov. Linda Lingle to the production, along with HTY board members and other longtime supporters.

Stephanie Kuroda plays Snow White and Hermen "Junior" Tesero portrays all seven dwarfs in the retelling of the fairy tale. Performances are at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. each Saturday through Sept. 23. Tickets are $16; $8 for youth and seniors. Information: 839-9885 or www.htyweb.org.
