Woman critically hurt in accident on Fort Weaver Road

Advertiser Staff

A woman was critically injured and two men and a 15-year-old girl seriously hurt in a two-car crash on Fort Weaver Road early today.

The accident happened about 4:19 a.m., when a 26-year-old Wai'anae man driving a 1985 white Honda Prelude was apparently speeding southbound on Fort Weaver Road. Police said the Honda was in a turn lane near Kimopelekane Road when the man abruptly veered into a neighboring lane.

The Honda struck a brown 2001 Lincoln sedan, which was also traveling southbound on Fort Weaver. The front-seat passenger in the Honda, a woman whose age was not released, was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition. A 15-year-old girl in the back seat and the driver of the Honda were in serious condition yesterday, along with the 74-year-old man who was driving the Lincoln.

Police said the driver of the Honda may have drinking before the crash.
