Morning commute slow through Pearl City

Advertiser Staff

There are no major accidents or incidents to delay traffic heading into town from Leeward and Central O'ahu at this hour, but the H-1 Freeway through Pearl City is clogged anyway and the going is painfully slow.

Town-bound traffic on the H-1 is backing up well before the Kunia road on-ramps and things don't clear out much until well past the Waimalu on-ramp.

Things pick up quite a bit into and through 'Aiea but come almost to a dead stop at the Middle Street merge. Traffic remains heavy until past the Kinau Street off-ramp.

The drive in from Hawaii Kai is going well at this time although the 'ewa-bound backup begins prior to the Koko Head Avenue overpass.

Coming in from the windward side, traffic on the Pali High begins to back up at Waokanaka Street.
