UH's Hittle out for the year

Hittle made the announcement after she asked to speak with the media.
Under a new UH policy, the school is not allowed to disclose the status of a student-athlete.
Hittle is the team's primary passer and best ball-handler. She was an all-Western Athletic Conference selection last year and was the WAC's Freshman of the Year in 2004.
UH, ranked No. 12, is 5-3 and plays No. 23 Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo Thursday and Friday.
