Schools, non-profits can raise funds selling tickets

Advertiser Staff

In conjunction with the return of Hawai'i Winter Baseball, the league announced fundraising programs for Hawai'i's schools and non-profit organizations.

The "Welcome Back, Give Back" program will have two initiatives.

Beginning with the season's first five games (Oct. 1-6), schools and their related school groups and non-profit organizations can raise funds by selling tickets and attending these games.

Groups that sell tickets and attend those games will receive 100 percent of the ticket price for each ticket sold. Groups are also encouraged to coordinate their attire on game night to distinguish themselves.

The second initiative will be ongoing, starting with the Oct. 7 game and running to the season's championship game Nov. 22.

Interested groups can register to sell game tickets and receive 50 percent of the ticket price for each ticket sold.

Tickets for both charitable initiatives are priced at $5 each. Interested groups can register for both or either programs by contacting the league office at 534-7592 or via e-mail at kalowenak@hawaiiwinterbaseball.com.
