Little rain in the immediate forecast

There were a few light showers this morning over parts of O'ahu but the overall forecast from the National Weather Service calls for light trade winds for the next few days and very little in the way of rain.

A high pressure ridge north of Kaua'i will keep the trade wind flow dry and stable for the remainder of this week, according to the forecast.

What rain there is will likely be concentrated in the windward and mauka areas.

Here's what to expect as the weekend approaches:

Today, mostly sunny. Highs 82 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 67 to 76. Northeast winds up to 10 mph.

Friday, partly cloudy with isolated showers in the morning, then mostly

sunny in the afternoon. Highs 81 to 89. East winds up to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent. Friday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 76. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent. Saturday, partly cloudy with isolated showers in the morning, then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs 81 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent. Saturday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 76. East winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
