Morning commute slows through Pearl City

Advertiser Staff

The town-bound lanes of the H-1 Freeway are clogged through most of Pearl City at this hour and don't really open up much until beyond the Kaonohi Street overpass in 'Aiea.

From there, traffic moves well until just before the Middle Street merge, which is bumper-to-bumper at this time.

The traffic remains heavy and slow through Kalihi and Liliha, but picks up again once past the Kinau Street off-ramp.

Traffic heading in from Hawaii Kai begins to stack up just before the Old Wai'alae Road overpass.

There are no major problems at this time heading in from Windward O'ahu.
