Southern swell will continue to build

Look for surf along south-facing shores to build gradually throughout the day today and then remain higher than normal into the middle of next week, according to the National Weather Service, as a couple of south-southwest swells arrive.Surf is expected to be highest on Sunday and Tuesday, with peak surf heights around the 8-foot advisory level.
A small north-northwest swell is also due in today and is expected to diminish over the weekend, but not before delivering the first significant surf of the fall and winter season up to 8 feet.
Today's forecast calls for surf along south-facing shores to increase to 3 to 5 feet by this afternoon.
Surf along west- and east-facing shores will build to 2 to 4 feet.
Surf along north-facing shores will be increasing to 6 to 8 feet.
