Surf expected to build to seven feet or higher

Three- to 5-foot wave faces along south facing shores will build throughout the day to from 6 to 7 feet, with an occasional higher set by this evening, according to the National Weather Service. Surf along the west facing shores will be 2 to 4 feet, and increasing to 4 to 6 feet by tonight.

Surf along east facing shores will remain at the 2-to-4-foot level throughout the day. Surf along north facing shores will remain at the 3- to 5-foot range.
