GOING VEGAS
Freebies on football Mondays

By Anthony Curtis

Monday Night Football may have changed networks, but it's business as usual in Las Vegas casinos. Once again, the main action is east of the Strip on Boulder Highway, where two casinos are pulling in fans with free food and drink. The two best events are at Sam's Town and Boulder Station. At each, everyone gets a free hot dog and beer before settling in to watch the game, on big-screen TVs. Doors open about an hour before game time and it's easy to hit both places in one night. Other good venues for the game include Sunset Station, Monte Carlo and the Gold Coast.

STARDUST FALLS: The Stardust will close Nov. 1. Demolition of the resort will begin early next year, clearing the way for the $4 billion Echelon Place.

SOUTH COAST DEAL: The South Coast on the south end of the Strip is offering deals when you pay with players club points. Use club points for 50 percent off in all restaurants, in the spa and for bingo buy-ins through September. Earn double points when you play on Mondays.

ELVIS IS COMING: Cirque du Soleil and Elvis Presley Enterprises will collaborate to create a permanent Elvis Presley show for Project CityCenter, to open in November 2009. The show is to be similar to "Love," which plays at the Mirage and merges Cirque with the Beatles.
