Fake bus pass leads to arrest

A 53-year-old man was arrested late yesterday afternoon after he allegedly tried to use a forged bus pass to get a ride on a city bus.

Police were called to the Kapiolani area about 5:30 p.m. and arrested the would-be bus rider on suspicion of first-degree forgery.

Teen girls report sexual assault incident

Police yesterday were searching for two boys, ages 16 or 17, after two girls reported being sexually assaulted at a Honolulu park about 10:30 p.m. Saturday night.

The two girls told police they were waiting at a bus stop when the two boys approached and led them to a nearby park. The name of the park was not disclosed.

The girls, ages 15 and 16, told police the boys assaulted them at the park. Police checked the surrounding area but could not find the two boys

The older girl was taken to the Sex Abuse Treatment Center for an examination, police said.

No arrests had been made as of this morning.
