South shores still getting 8-foot surf

Advertiser Staff

Surf along south-facing shores will persist around the 8-foot advisory level into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Another, moderate south swell is expected to build Thursday night and continue through the weekend.

Strengthening trade winds will cause surf along east-facing shores to approach the 8-foot advisory level on Wednesday. East shore surf will begin to subside on Thursday.

Look for surf today of 5 to 8 feet along the south-facing shores; 3 to 6 feet along west-facing shores; 4 to 7 feet along east-facing shores; and 3 to 5 feet along north-facing shores.
