Cornerback Ryan Keomaka Wednesday was reinstated to the University of Hawai'i football team, a day after being dismissed.

UH coach June Jones dismissed Keomaka for supposedly missing mandatory study sessions. But Jones learned it was a miscommunication. Keomaka believed he could choose his study period instead of attending only the team's nightly study hall.

UH academic center officials sent Jones a letter confirming Keomaka had logged the necessary amount of time in study sessions.

But Keomaka, who did not practice Tuesday and Wednesday, will not be included on the 60-player travel roster for Saturday's game against Boise State.

Keomaka, who was a second team left cornerback last week, will resume practicing Thursday.
