As weekend nears, trade winds expected to dwindle

Enjoy the refreshing trade winds while you can because they are likely to taper off as the weekend approaches, according to the National Weather Service.The trades are being fueled by a strong high pressure system northeast of the state, which is expected to weaken and move away from the islands over the next few days.
Clouds and showers will favor windward and mauka areas.
