H-1 backup extends to Kunia Road overpass

Advertiser Staff

There have been no major disruptions to the town-bound traffic anywhere on O'ahu so far this morning.

Nonetheless, the backup on the H-1 Freeway extends back to about the Kunia Road overpass at this time.

The flow is bumper-to-bumper through the H-1/H-2 merge and remains heavy through Pearl City and into 'Aiea.

Things pick up a bit once past Aloha Stadium but slow down again at the Zipper Machine house on the airport viaduct.

The drive is slow through the Middle Street merge and continues like that through Kalihi. Things ease up a bit in Liliha.

The drive in from Hawaii Kai is moving well and begins to slow at the Old Wai'alae Road overpass. From there, congested conditions persist through Makiki but things lighten up a bit after the Lunalilo on-ramp.

There are no significant problems at this time driving in from the windward side.
