Utility work taking place on Pu'uloa Road

Both shoulder lanes along Pu'uloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard will be closed today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for utility work.

A lane will be closed southbound along Pu'uloa Road near Mokumoa Street today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for drainage system installation.

Lanes may be closed eastbound along Salt Lake Boulevard between Pu'uloa Road and Ala Napunani today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for utility work.

Other construction projects are also expected to slow traffic around the island:

Construction will slow Moanalua traffic

The right southbound lane of the 'Aiea Access Road Bridge over the Moanalua Freeway will be closed between Moanalua Road and the Moanalua Freeway daily today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for light pole installation work and bridge upgrades.

Lanes may be closed along Moanalua Freeway and Kamehameha Highway just below the 'Aiea Access Road bridge overpass today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for installation of a bike rail.

Also, 'Aiea Access Road between Moanalua Road and Kamehameha Highway will be closed in both directions from 9 a.m. today to 4:30 a.m. Monday, as crews construct a concrete roadway.

Kamehameha Highway lanes to close

Westbound lanes will be closed along Kamehameha Highway on the on-ramp to the H-1 Freeway near the Waiawa Interchange today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for construction of seismic retrofit measures.

Work scheduled near Camp Smith

Lanes will close along Halawa Heights Road between Ulune Street and Fernridge Place, in the vicinity of Camp Smith, today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for pavement marking and sign installation.

Work scheduled near Crouching Lion

Lanes will be closed along Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion today for roadwork. One lane of traffic in either direction will be closed and contra-flowed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Lanes to close along Farrington

These lanes will be closed along Farrington Highway today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.:

  • eastbound direction, between Pupukahi Street and Waipahu Depot Road for paving work.

  • right lane in both directions, between Paiwa Street and Waipahu High School for drainage work.
