Cooling trade winds will be hanging around

Earlier forecasts called for the trade winds to slacken off as the weekend approaches.

But it now looks as if the cooling, refreshing breezes will hang around at least into the start of the new week, according to the National Weather Service.

So, enjoy.

The trades will bring a few showers with them, mostly over windward slopes.

Here's a day-by-day look at the weekend:

Today, partly cloudy with isolated showers in the morning, then mostly sunny

in the afternoon. Highs 81 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 78. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 81 to 89. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday night, partly cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly clear.
