Meet Nui Mono designers at sale

Mo'ili'ili shop Nui Mono shows off its crafty creations for fall tomorrow.

Nui Mono, the little Mo'ili'ili treasure trove of Island designers and crafters, will hold a fall boutique sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Waioli Tea Room.

Featured will be craftspeople and designers who sell their creations at Nui Mono. Among them: Laurice Ito, Ann Asakura, Kim Kono, Wendy Kim-Messier and Grant Kagimoto. It's a showcase for new fall inventory and an opportunity to start shopping for Christmas. Information: 946-7407.

PURE HAPA GOES TO FASHION WEEK

As botanical beauty line Pure Hapa gains popularity here, creator Nadyne Keala Orona is expanding its market to the East Coast. Orona traveled to New York, where she sponsored the Tracy Reese spring 2007 collection during Olympus Fashion Week. Pure Hapa was presented backstage, where Orona introduced her products to the media and celebrities such as actress Carmen Electra, Lisa Edelstein of hit TV show "House" and Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley.

Pure Hapa, made with Island ingredients, is available on O'ahu at Moku Ola Hawaiian Healing Center, on Lana'i at the Four Seasons Manele Bay, on Maui at the Fairmont Kea Lani and on the Big Island at Mauna Lani Resort.

NEIMAN HOSTS WEEKEND OF BLING

The focus is on jewelry this weekend at Neiman Marcus. A trunk show of Balinese designer John Hardy will focus on the Gold Dot Nuansa collection, which combines silver and gold.

Designer Linda Bergman will make an appearance to show her latest collection featuring pearls, semi-precious and precious stones combined with sterling silver and all karats of gold.

For more than 50 years, Henry Dunay has been creating bold, imaginative fine jewelry using interesting textures and rare gemstones. A trunk show of his fall pieces will be in the Precious Jewel Salon tomorrow and Sunday.

HOT MAMA ADDING COOL FOREIGN LINES

In her ongoing quest for the best in maternity clothing, Paige McGuire, proprietress of Hot Mama Maternity in Kaimuki, searches the world for original, hip, well-made clothes. She has just added Dutch label Noppies to her retail mix. While designed for the incubating mom, the clothes are right on trend for fall, with layered looks, jewel tones, denim petal skirts and jeans that can grow with her tummy.
