HSTA's Husted to step down in 2007

Joan Lee Husted, executive director of the Hawai'i State Teachers Association, will retire at the end of next year.Husted helped build the union and has been a labor leader in Hawai'i for more than three decades.
She will step down on Dec. 31, 2007, the HSTA said in a press release.
