Iolani intercepted four passes and Justin Yamamoto rushed for 181 yards and one touchdown on 30 carries last night to lift the Raiders to a 24-14 victory over Pac-Five at Aloha Stadium.

Iolani, ranked No. 7 in The Advertiser's statewide Top 10 poll of coaches and media, improved to 3-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu. Pac-Five fell to 2-3, 0-2.

Sophomore cornerback Kela Marciel made two of the Raiders' interceptions, including the final one with 3:35 remaining on the 5-yard line. He returned it 51 yards, and though Pac-Five got the ball back at its own 39 four plays later, the Wolfpack eventually lost the ball on downs and the Raiders took a knee to run out the final seconds.

Iolani's Kody Adams kicked a 35-yard field goal with 8:29 remaining in the first half to break a 14-14 tie, and Yamamoto helped put the Raiders up 24-14 with an 8-yard touchdown run with 3:18 left in the third quarter.

In addition to the interceptions, Pac-Five also lost two fumbles, both recovered by linebacker Jarom Baldomero.

The Wolfpack needed only 77 seconds to take a 6-0 lead, with Liko Satele scoring on a 1-yard run set up by Jordan Ho-Ching's 68-yard scamper on the game's first play from scrimmage.

But the Raiders took a 7-6 lead after Ryan Dung's 12-yard TD pass to Ronnie Hirokawa and Adams' extra point with 5:30 remaining in the first quarter.

Iolani went up, 14-6, four minutes later after Dung's 1-yard quarterback sneak, but Pac-Five tied it on Bryson Beirne's 9-yard touchdown pass to Satele and Phillip Sarubbi's two-point conversion run.
