Trade winds to hold humidity at bay

Advertiser Staff

The trade winds are expected to stay around for the next several days, according to the National Weather Service.

Some of the showers could be locally heavy, especially over Big Island slopes.

Conditions are such that we may see isolated thunderstorms over and around the Big Island today.

Here's a more detailed look at the first part of the week:

Tonight, partly cloudy. Scattered showers in the evening, then isolated showers after midnight. Lows 67 to 78. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
