Two killed in Sunday traffic crashes identified

Advertiser Staff

The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office today identified two people killed in separate traffic crashes yesterday as Gregory Dixon, 27, and Solomon Moses, 54.

Dixon, who was stationed at Schofield Barracks, was killed in a 2:17 a.m. Sunday crash on Kunia Road near 'Anonui Street. Police said his 1991 Chevy four-door sedan veered off the road and struck a utility pole. Dixon, the lone occupant, was ejected and crushed by the car as it rolled over.

Moses, a Waimanalo resident, was killed when the car he was driving failed to negotiate a curve on Hihimanu Street and slammed into a wooden utility pole at 10:50 p.m. Sunday

The traffic death toll on O'ahu this year stands at 69 as compared to 58 during the same period last year.
