Hawai'i GOP poised to name candidate for U.S. Senate

Advertiser Staff

The Hawai'i Republican Party plans this afternoon to announce its candidate for the U.S. Senate to replace former Navy pilot and Vietnam War POW Jerry Coffee, who won Saturday's Republican primary.

Coffee had already withdrawn from the race for health reasons and cannot serve, giving the Republican Party the option of naming a replacement by tomorrow.
