Morning commuters battling wet weather, slow traffic

Advertiser Staff

Heavy showers over much of O'ahu earlier this morning have lead to traffic complications around the island.

The drive into town is slower than normal from almost all parts of O'ahu.

Traffic was reported to be extremely heavy on the H-1 Freeway through Waipahu, Pearl City and 'Aiea.

Traffic is moving at a crawl through the H-1/H-2 merge at this time and is bumper-to-bumper at the Middle Street merge.

Traffic heading in from the Hawaii Kai area is backed up past the point where Kalanianaole Highway merges with the freeway.

Traffic over the Ko'olaus is running slower than normal over all three routes due to earlier collsions and wet road surfaces.
