The Honolulu medical examiner's office today identified the Wai'anae man who died yesterday from injuries suffered in a car crash in Makaha as Brandon Lee Mizuta-Cabral, 19.

Police said Mizuta-Cabral was driving a car that appears to have been speeding when it veered left off of Farrington Highway near 'Upena Street shortly before 4 a.m. and struck mailboxes and a rock wall. Police responded at 3:54 a.m.

Mizuta-Cabral was transported to The Quuen's Medical Center, where he died at 2:20 p.m., police said.

An autopsy today found cause of death to be multiple internal injuries due to a motor vehicle accident.

Police said Mizuta-Cabral was driving a stolen car.
