Co-worker suspected of stealing, fraud

A 35-year-old Honolulu woman was arrested yesterday in connection with an August theft from a woman being admitted to an emergency room.

On Aug. 3, a 41-year-old woman collapsed at work and was being transported to The Queen's Medical Center when she asked a co-worker to hold onto her wallet and credit cards, according to police.

After being released from the hospital she couldn't find her co-worker, and soon learned that someone had used her credit cards and ATM card.

After an investigation, police arrested her 35-year-old co-worker on suspicion of fraudulent use of a credit card and theft in the second degree.

Man arrested for allegedly kicking police officer

A 22-year-old Honolulu man was arrested this morning after he kicked a police officer.

At 12:25 a.m., a 53-year-old Honolulu police officer approached the 22-year-old, who was allegedly standing on a wall, drunk and yelling at passers by. The officer tried to talk the man off the wall, but the 22-year-old kicked him in the right elbow, causing minor injuries, according to police.

The 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a law enforcement officer.

Boy, 15, arrested as suspect in stabbing case

A 15-year-old Waimanalo boy was arrested yesterday in connection with a Saturday stabbing, according to police.

At 3 p.m. Saturday, the 15-year-old allegedly got into an argument with a 33-year-old man over a bus pass. Police said the boy then pulled out a knife and stabbed the 33-year-old in the arm, opening a wound that required 17 stitches. The boy then ran away, police said.

The victim, who knows the boy, identified him through a photographic lineup of children staying at a detention center for runaways.

The 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault.

Man using stolen credits to clear bar tabs arrested

A 21-year-old man was arrested yesterday after he allegedly stole money and credit cards from two women and used them to pay his bar tab, police said.

The 21-year-old found the wallet of a 23-year-old woman outside a bar and used two of her credit cards to clear bar tabs, police said. The woman's 38-year-old companion saw the man and followed him to an ATM, police said. The suspect then grabbed the 38-year-old's purse and fled.

Police located the 21-year-old man and arrested him on suspicion of theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.
