ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Jump for Oi! at Anna's tonight

Advertiser Staff

Oi! to the world! New York City-based metal, punk, reggae, thrash and Oi! quartet The Casualties, left, kick out the jams at Anna Bannana's tonight at 9. Like your revivalist punk hard and fast, with choruses you can easily shout along to? Intrigued by the subject matter promised by song titles such as "System Failed Us Again," "Scarred For Life," "Kill Everyone" and — my personal favorite — "Media Control"? Then fork over $10 at the door and show the world your continuing love for mohawks, leather and anarchy. Honolulu bands The Enhancements and 2face4 open.

'SOAP TALK'

FIND GOOD, CLEAN FUN AT TAPING

Soap opera fans and warm, sunny days in the great outdoors go together like, well, Monday Night Football fans and clover-sprout finger sandwiches. But here's something sure to draw even the sudsiest sofa spud out to the beach: "Soap Talk," SOAPnet's Emmy-nominated soap opera chat fest, is taping four episodes at the Hilton Hawaiian Village tomorrow and Friday — and they want you to come. The episodes start taping at 9 and 11 a.m. each day. To be a part of the show, get to the hotel by 8:15 a.m. and check in at the Rainbow Suite. But, please, take the curlers out first.
