Kauai mayor candidate may call for recount

Fukushima, who finished second in the five-candidate race, said he is concerned that a miscount could have resulted from the state's two different voting systems -- one for electronic voting and one for paper ballots.
County clerk Peter Nakamura ruled this week that Mayor Bryan Baptiste won the election outright in the primary by receiving a majority of the vote.
