Karen Weatherby's goal in the 72nd minute, off an assist from Kelly White, lifted visiting University of Hawai'i-Hilo to a 3-2 victory over Hawai'i Pacific yesterday in a Pacific West Conference women's soccer match.

Weatherby's goal helped the Vulcans win their third straight and improve to 3-1. The Sea Warriors fell to 1-3.

"We were playing dead tired out there," said UHH coach Travis Clark. "But we're a long way from where we were at the beginning of the season and playing competitively and scoring."

HPU took a 1-0 lead just 1:22 into the match when Audrey Haerle scored off a cornerkick by Kerianne Pascua.

UHH tied at the 40:17 mark on White's goal off a pass from Weatherby and made it 2-1 at 58:06 on Healani Leite-Ah Yo's header off White's cornerkick.

The Sea Warriors came back five minutes later to tie the match on Haerle's header off a cornerkick by Pascua.

Clemente gave HPU a 1-0 lead at 1:39, then added another one at 26:56. Gabe Sugar (22:38) and Christian Nilsson (31:01) added one goal apiece as the Sea Warriors (3-2) took a 4-0 lead into intermission.

Keisuke Sasada (44:13) and Ryan Neil (44:51) scored for the Vulcans (3-3) to make it 4-2, but Clemente capped the scoring with a goal at 55:50.
