Two men charged in Hale'iwa drug case

Advertiser Staff

Prosecutors have charged two men with trafficking crystal methamphetamine after they were arrested Friday in a police raid on a senior citizen apartment complex in Hale'iwa.

Harry Bernier, 59, a resident of the government-supported complex at 66-477 Pa'ala'a Road, and Mitchell Enaena, 32, who lists no permanent local address, were charged with three counts each of meth trafficking, one count each of promotion of a dangerous drug and promotion of a detrimental drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bernier and Enaena were being held in lieu of $30,000 and $40,000 bail, respectively. Both have prior convictions, according to Hawai'i Criminal Justice Data Center records.
