Kaka'ako woman says estranged spouse attacked her

Police are investigating a woman's complaint that her estranged husband cut her with a knife and fired a shot at her but missed after breaking into her Kaka'ako apartment early this morning.The woman, 37, told police she was cut on the stomach with a knife while bound with tape, then was shot at.
The attack was reported to police at 2:30 a.m. and was being investigated as an attempted murder and kidnapping.
The woman was treated at a hospital for cuts and released, police said.
