Downtown traffic projects start today

Advertiser Staff

The State Department of Transportation will be starting two construction projects just outside downtown today that will slow traffic into town.

The first project is at the Pali Highway and Vineyard Boulevard intersection, where the DOT is extending the left-turn lane along the Pali in the south-bound direction an additional 300 feet. While construction is in process there may be lane closures.

The second project is at Nimitz and Pacific Street, where a left-turn phasing to the traffic signals will be added. Lane closures are expected along Nimitz in either direction.
