Police probe pet pig Picasso's passing

Advertiser Staff

A 4-year-old pet pig named "Gonzo Picasso" was allegedly killed by three hunting dogs on private property on Round Top Drive on Sunday.

Police were called and an investigation into the killing has been opened.

The Vietnamese pot bellied pig lived on a six-acre parcel of land owned by University of Hawai'i law professor Jon Van Dyke.

The pig was fed at 7:30 a.m. but Van Dyke's sister-in-law found the pig dead with bite marks all over its legs and the upper right side of its face "totally ripped off" about 9:30 a.m., said Van Dyke.
