Cartoonist Piraro to speak to local vegetarian group

Syndicated "Bizarro" cartoonist Dan Piraro will give a free talk next week in Waikiki that will range from his cartoon career to veganism.Piraro, who is also a stand-up comedian will speak to the Vegetarian Society of Hawaii at 7 p.m
April 10 at the Ala Wai Golf Course Clubhouse, 404 Kapahulu Ave.
An experienced speaker and stand-up comedian, sponsors say Piraro's presentations are a unique hybrid of the two. Piraro uses videos, still images, cartoons, songs, stories, and the occasional onstage drawing to communicate his ideas.
