TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"American Experience: Sister Aimee," 9 p.m., PBS. In 1926, people were stunned to hear that Aimee Semple McPherson, the world's most popular preacher, had drowned. Three weeks later, she resurfaced near the Mexican border, telling of a kidnap and escape. Her story was neither believed nor disproved; some of her faithful departed. Then McPherson rebuilt her following. This documentary is the fascinating story of a Canadian farm girl who became a media event. Her troubled personal life — widowed once, divorced twice — didn't seem to slow her soaring pulpit career.

"The Bachelor," 8:45 p.m., ABC. This time, "Bachelor" seems to have a hunk who actually is interested in marriage. Andy Baldwin is a big catch — a doctor and a Navy lieutenant based at Pearl Harbor, with handsome face and rippled torso — who is single at 30. He's also a former Pennsylvania farm boy who talks about marriage and family. In this opener, he meets 25 beauties. Many seem bright and accomplished; one does some drinking and then tries to pick a fight.

OF NOTE

"Dancing With the Stars," 7 p.m., ABC. Last week, supermodel Paulina Porizkova became the first star eliminated. Tonight, the 10 survivors dance.

"Prison Break" season finale, 7 p.m., Fox. Last week ended with Linc being captured and handcuffed by Mahone, who says he'll only let him free if Michael brings the money. Meanwhile, Sara was ready to plead guilty in court; then Kellerman arrived. Tonight, Michael tries a rescue and Kellerman testifies.

"How I Met Your Mother," 7 p.m., and "Two and a Half Men," 7:30, CBS. In the first rerun, Marshall and Lily want to elope; in the second, Charlie becomes exasperated with his brother during a double date.

"The Riches," 7 p.m., FX. This show continues to mix humor and dead-serious drama as scam artists assume the identity of a rich couple. Tonight, they learn about their religion — and learn that the guy owes money to an ex-wife.

"The Hills," 7 p.m., MTV. A live special will wrap up the "Hills" season.

"24," 8 p.m., Fox. The vice president (Powers Boothe) invokes the 25th amendment in an effort to oust President Wayne Palmer.

"Black Donnellys," 9 p.m., NBC. Reluctantly, Tommy is helping collect gambling debts. Meanwhile, Jenny adjusts to her new crisis. Her dad's mind had deteriorated so much that he was dropping his bank deposits into a corner mailbox. Now she must supervise and salvage the family business.
