Museum association to hold conference May 24-25

The Hawaii Museums Association (HMA) will hold its annualconference on May 24 to 25 in Honolulu. The theme for this year's conference is "Transforming Our Institutions: Challenging Histories & Engaging Communities." The conference will include presentations, panel and roundtable discussions and more. Registration fees for the conference range from $175 to $45.

Post-conference workshops will be held at Bishop Museum on May 26. Topics will include budgeting for non-profits and working
with issues pertaining to the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). Registration fees for the budgeting workshop range from $30 to $20, the NAGPRA workshop is free.
